Welcome to Minedit! In this particular guide, we will be talking about everything there is to know in regard to the Cloning Machine Pixelmon. We’ll talk about what the device exactly does, what it is, how to use it and how we can craft it ourselves.
Before we move forward with learning more about this guide though, make sure that you brush up on some of the basics using our Pixelmon Wiki guide.
With that being said, let’s move forward and getting started learning everything we can about the Cloning Machine Pixelmon.
What Platform Supports This Mod?
Before you move forward, you always have to double check that the platform you are playing on supports whatever item, potion, enchantment or its on your platform you are playing Minecraft on.
In this particular case, given that it’s a mod, there’s only one version that supports this, and this is the Java Edition for PC and Mac.
We’ve created a small list down below for you to use:

Keep in mind that if you ever red about something called the Bedrock Edition, that this is just a new name Minecraft and Microsoft came up with in order to describe the Pocket Edition, Xbox One Edition, Nintendo Switch Edition, Windows 10 Edition and the Education Edition.
What Is A Cloning Machine Pixelmon Device?
Well, as the name implies, a cloning machine will allow you to clone certain Pokemon in the game of Pixelmon. In the Pokemon Universe, Giovanni was the only one in possession of such a cloning device and used it to clone Mewtwo from Mew.
This process is not always successful, and when it fails (and it will) you will spawn a Ditto instead of a Mewtwo.
How To Craft A Cloning Machine Pixelmon Device?
Let’s have a look at what is necessary for us to do in order to successfully craft a cloning device.
Below is a list of the items that are needed in order to successfully craft this item:
- A Green Tank
- An Orange Tank
- A Cloner Cord
Once you’ve crafted the item, you do have the ability to break apart the cloning device, which will then result into having to pick up these three items again and then next time craft it again.

Green Tank, Cloner Cord, Orange Tank
Once you have crafted every single one of these items, you have to place them strategically in the crafting table in order to actually build the cloning machine.

How To Use The Cloning Machine Pixelmon?
Let’s take the example of Mew and Mewtwo.
In order to clone a Mew, you first have to place the Mew into the machine. You do so by right clicking the machine while having a Mew in the player’s party. Next, you have to insert three blocks of diamond, gold or iron. Naturally, the higher the quality of blocks, the higher the chances of actually having a Mewtwo instead of a Ditto.

What’s My Chance of Getting A Mewtwo?
The chances of getting a Mewtwo is calculated by summing the values of the three blocks and then dividing this sum by 40. The highest success rate possible is 37.5% with 3 diamond blocks. The lowest success rate is 7.5% with three iron blocks.
Once you’ve properly inserted the blocks into the cloning machine, you will know within seconds if you’re receiving a mewtwo or a ditto.
If a Mewtwo is successfully created, the Orange Tank will be destroyed. A Mewtwo will jump out of it and act as a wild Pokemon, waiting for you to engage and fight it.
If a Ditto is created, the machine will not be destroyed.
Mew will eventually return to you the moment the cloned Pokemon leaves the machine.
Keep in mind that every Mew can only be used for three different times to clone. After three times, it will not allow you to clone it anymore.
Final Words
As a kid, these two Pokemon were the legendary ones we all wanted. It is nostalgic to see the use of the cloning machine again.
