Fortune is a Minecraft enchantment that may be applied on pickaxes, shovels, and axes. While using a tool with the Fortune enchantment to mine ores, the player may acquire additional items from the block. Mining coal ore using a pickaxe with Fortune III, for example, can give up to four coal instead of the typical one or two.
