How to add FB pixel to Shopify?

Here are the steps to add Facebook Pixel to your Shopify store:

Step 1: Create a Facebook Pixel

If you haven’t created a Facebook Pixel yet, you need to do that first. Here are the steps:

  1. Go to your Facebook Ads Manager.
  2. Click on the “Pixels” option in the Events Manager sidebar.
  3. Click on “Create a Pixel.”
  4. Enter a name for your pixel.
  5. Click “Create.”

Once you have created your pixel, you will be given a unique pixel ID.

Step 2: Install the Facebook Pixel code on your Shopify store

  1. Go to your Shopify store admin panel.
  2. Click on “Online Store” in the left-hand menu.
  3. Click on “Preferences.”
  4. Scroll down to the “Facebook Pixel” section.
  5. Enter your Facebook Pixel ID in the field provided.
  6. Click “Save.”

That’s it! The Facebook Pixel code will now be added to every page of your Shopify store.

Step 3: Verify that the Pixel is working

  1. Go back to your Facebook Ads Manager.
  2. Click on the “Pixels” option in the Events Manager sidebar.
  3. Look for your pixel and click on it.
  4. Click on the “Set up” button in the top right corner.
  5. Click on the “Check Pixel Status” option.
  6. If your pixel is working correctly, you should see a message that says “We detected activity on your Pixel in the last 20 minutes.”

If you don’t see this message, double-check that you have installed the pixel correctly.

Step 4: Create Facebook Pixel events

Now that your Facebook Pixel is installed, you can start tracking events on your Shopify store. For example, you can track when someone adds a product to their cart, makes a purchase, or views a specific page.

  1. Go back to your Facebook Ads Manager.
  2. Click on the “Pixels” option in the Events Manager sidebar.
  3. Look for your pixel and click on it.
  4. Click on the “Set up” button in the top right corner.
  5. Click on the “Create Custom Conversion” option.
  6. Choose the event you want to track and set up the rules for when it should trigger.
  7. Click “Create.”

Once you have created your custom conversion, you can use it to track conversions in your Facebook Ads Manager.

That’s it! You have successfully added Facebook Pixel to your Shopify store and can now start tracking events and optimizing your ads based on that data.
